Top 3 Playgrounds and Parks around St Helena

Finding a great playground or park close to home that the kids love just helps make life easier and fun. We’ve listed 3 brilliant playgrounds in St Helena and surrounds that might tick all the playground boxes for you.

1. Anthony Beale Reserve, St Helena

Location: 277 St Helena Rd, St Helena

Facilities: Playground, toilets, BBQ areas, picnic tables, walking and bike tracks, half basketball court, skate area

This park is probably one of our favourites as it’s bright and colourful with a range of great playing areas for all kids. The playground has some great equipment with flying foxes, spinners, hammock, a birds nest swing, sandpit and of course we can’t forget the slides. Not only does this reserve have a playground but they also have a skate ramp and basketball court. With toilets, BBQ area, picnic tables and bike tracks, it’s the perfect place to take the kids for some fun.

Anthony Beale Reserve is also only a two-minute drive from St Helena Marketplace, which is great for stopping by to pick up some lunch from Sushi Sushi or Goodys Charcoal Chicken, or for picking up some goodies from St Helena Pasta Deli and Woolworths for a picnic.

 

2. Diamond Creek Regional Playspace, Diamond Creek

Location: 28 Main Hurstbridge Road, Diamond Creek

Facilities: Playground, toilets, BBQ area, grassed areas, walking tracks, shaded play areas, café

This HUGE play space is sure to be loved by your kids and will keep them entertained for hours.  Little ones, or big kids, there is something for everyone. This play area has all the usual favourite equipment including a range of swings, slides and flying foxes. It also has some awesome climbing areas, with climbing ropes, tunnels, and cubby houses. One awesome feature is the large sandpit with climbing rocks and digging areas with sorting stations. The kiddos might even be lucky enough to find some hidden gold in the sandpit.

This play area also has shaded playing areas, a grassy oval, many walking/bike tracks and BBQ areas. On top of this there is a café. Yes, you heard correctly! There’s a café perfect for grabbing a coffee and some treats for the kids. This café also isn’t any café, it is inside an old W class tram making it very unique. 3. Rotary Centennial Park Playground

Location:2 Diamond Street, Diamond Creek

Facilities: Playground, toilets, BBQ area, walking trails, netball and basketball courts, undercover area

Hello new, modern, fun, equipment! Diamond Creek Reserve Playground has some very exciting unique pieces of equipment the kids are sure to have great fun playing on. It includes a rock climbing area, dizzy spinner, hammock and an awesome shop counter with a cash register, perfect for the kids to play shop keeper.

This park area is also perfect for all ages as it is a half basketball court, grassed areas, bike tracks and even a table tennis table. If you enjoy great walking tracks and the kids love riding their bikes, then you’ll love this great track at Diamond Creek Reserve.
