We all love a long weekend and and here’s just a few fun ways to spend your time. You might even get a chance to spend the three days relaxing!
Treat Yourself
Take the time to relax and have some “me” time. You know you deserve it! And it’s something we often overlook. Relax with that book you’ve been trying to find time to read. After the kids are in bed, light some candles, pop on some relaxing music and enjoy a long and uninterrupted bath. You could even pamper yourself at Beauty Station Nails with a relaxing manicure or pedicure.
3 days = 3 days of BBQs!
There’s no such thing as too many BBQs! And a 3-day weekend presents the opportunity for one each day! For all your burgers, sausages and other delicious BBQ meats pop by Scotch and Fillet, and for some pre-made salads hit up Goody’s Charcoal Chicken.
Exploring the outdoors
If you’re keen to try new playground with the kids or after a new picnic spot to try, check out our top 3 playgrounds and parks in St Helena. Before heading out with the family, stop by Sushi Sushi and St Helena Pasta Deli at St Helena Marketplace to pick up some delicious essentials for the picnic basket.
Family Games
Set up some family game fun! It could be your own family mini-Olympics, an awesome scavenger hunt around the house or local park, or even get out the blow-up mattresses and torches for a lounge room campout. If you’re camping out, pop up some fairy lights and look up some campfires on YouTube and really set the scene in your lounge room.
Take to the walking trails
There are some fantastic walking circuits in Banyule City Council, and even some treasure hunts! So, walk, scoot, or ride your way around some secret paths, old orchards and parklands.
